Is God Really ‘in Control’?

Of course God is 'in control' - He is God the Creator - the Alpha & Omega, etc. but is HE in charge? Is He the one making things happen in this country - in your personal life, etc.? Are we looking at the 'excuse' you tell folks that have happen what happens in their lives?

Do you believe it is God's will in your/their life? Do you believe it is God that we should 'blame' for what is going on today? Is it God that 'spanked' you by burning down your house, giving you arthritis, causing a miscarriage, giving you or your parents Alzheimers, etc.

Is it His judgment / chastisement/ design for their personal life to 'help them grow,' etc. You really think that to be true? Is that what you tell people? Then no wonder nobody wants your god - neither do I. That is another Jesus you are peddling.

Chapters 21-23 Chapter 23 is one of the greatest chapters on today's pastors and their modern bible versions. Thanks Jeremiah!

This also can be one of the false sources for the fearful preaching heard today as the 'serious' preachers try to scare folks with God's judgment instead of telling folks about the goodness of God! Folks just can't let go of the Old Testament and Gospels - or even Hebrews to Jude. Those books teach works for their salvation, thus the devil hinders Paul's preachings in our churches and families, today!

I Peter 4:17 / Discernment / Anointing / Unction / Private Interpretation Falsely Used Today

For the time IS come for judgment? If not, why do so many people flash around I Peter 4:17? What do folks have such a hard time with discernment today? And are we truly anointed so that no one can teach us? Can we pray for unction today and thus know all things? A rightly divided Bible clears these questions up quickly!

We had computer issues so we had to hurry this message up - it is a quickly delivered sermon so we could fit it into the time frame we had.

I have heard it said that in today's world, trying to follow the teachings of the risen Saviour through Paul is not practical.

You mean dressing 'very' modestly?
You mean being quiet and sober?
You mean not following the world's way of entertainment?
You mean saying 'no' to things that you used to say 'yes' to?

That is all not practical?

Growing in judgment?
Believing One Bible?
Learning the truth about music and then living it?
Serving the living God and Risen Saviour today is impractical?
Designing the local church to please God instead of man?

According to the scriptures, what are a few real reasons people say Paul is impractical?

We are told by the Risen Saviour in Philippians 1:9,10 that we are to grow in judgment, that we may approve things that are excellent, etc. Unfortunately, we are often accused of being judgmental and critical, however, we are SUPPOSED to be grow in that area. We look at two things tonight and see why we can not approve them.

More details from William Carey's life that proves once again that his emphasis on the Great Commission on the mission fields in the 1700's has actually come into America and has destroyed the truth of rightly dividing.
A 'new' small give-away New Testament is nothing more than a Baptist Bible. Hear how they wrongly divide in order to prove their baptist distinctives. Hear the dangers of giving out this 'free' New Testament.

Can you believe *I* would dare do a series on this subject? Well, I need to learn it as much as anyone. But, does this mean we must compromise? Put forth a false testimony? Not try to grow in judgment, etc.? No - not at all. How do you think Paul lived peaceably with all men? There were some folks really out to get him!

Let's learn how in this series, as Paul is our apostle to teach us!

Jesus didn't pray for the world? Does that mean that God doesn't love everyone like all the modern Christians think?

Is God's judgment really God's hatred towards the lost?

Jesus prayed for his own, so how did Paul pray for his own?

Challenging God's judgment? Shame on you, Habakkuk. You should learn from Paul that we need to trust God's judgment, even when it doesn't make sense to us.

What can Habakkuk teach us about faith today? Nothing - but he can sure explain what faith was like in the Old Testament compared to faith today through Paul's gospel. There is a 'world' of difference!

We see in Micah more of God's judgment on His people for their sins. However, Micah spends a lot of his talk time telling the folks of God's restoration.

We need to remind ourselves that we are not part of the restoration; we are part of the reconciliation of Ephesians 2.
